SESSION - 3

SESSION 3 is all about the input device, output device and storage device.

INPUT DEVICE:

An input is any way hardware components that allows users to enter data and instruction in the form of program, commands and user responses.

e.g: keyboard screen     

       touch devices

       game controllers

       digital cameras

       voice input device( optical scanner)

        biometric input

OUTPUT

Output is any types of hardware components that conveys information to its users.

e.g:   > pointer

         > desktop

         > speaker

         > data projector

DISPLAY DEVICES

it conveys video, text and graphics information.

MONITORS

> CRT monitors ( cathode ray tube)

> LCD monitor (liquid crystal display)

> plasma monitor

> HDTV

PRINTERS

the device that produces or sketch the graphics and text on the paper.

1> IMPACT PRINTER

graphics and text formed on the paper by the physical contact between ink ribbon and paper.

e.g: > line printer

      > dot –matrix printer

2> NON-IMPACT PRINTER

Forms graphic without striking papers.

e.g: > photo printer

      > laser printer

OTHER  PRINTERS

> mobile printer

> label printer

> portage printer and etc..

STORAGE DEVICE

storage device is a device which stores data, instructions and information for further use to the users.

 TYPES OF STORAGE

> hard disk

> flash memory

> optical disk

OTHERS TYPE

> tape

> magnetic stripe card and smart card

> enterprise storage
